Bushhoggin in 96 degree weather today

I hogged almost 2 acres today at 4pm and the temp was 96 here in Tenn. No problems except for my hot butt on the seat. LOL The 1700 and 4ft JD hog did the job on our rental property accross the road. My wife took these pictures on digital camera and you can see the heat/muggy foreground quality in the pics. I was about 200 yards from her when she took them. She couldn't use the standard quality and had to upgrade to even get them to turn out. Man it was HOT! Is is amazing how these little tractors run in hot weather without a water pump.

That sure don't look like much fun. I can't stand really hot and humid weather. It's times like that that REALLY makes me miss winter. Oh how I long for a foot of snow on the ground!

I do not like hot weather either. I am a fall/winter guy. When I got done I could have rung the water out of my shirt/pants. I am totally ready for winter!

I used to be a summer guy. We moved from Florida to South Carolina (upstate), and the first winter about killed me. However, 9 years later, I'm counting the days until winter comes back! I've turned. I just can't handle the upper 90's.

My neighbor was cutting grass around 4pm yesterday in 98 degrees. I wondered why not wait a few hours?

I had to get it done before dark so I could finish stacking firewood. I still haven't put a light in my woodshed yet (I will post some pictures of the woodshed later) and finally got all of it stacked also.
