Just bought some blades for my 306. They were actually listed as sunshine/modern/commando blades.
They are 3/4" longer and about 3/8" more offset than the blades I actually need. But for $2.86 per blade, I can chop off 1/2 or 3/4" off the end if I have clearance issues. The offset is no biggie. They are the same 4" width and 1/2" thick as OEM specs.
Its a company called valu-bilt tractor parts. Their website shows $30-$40 per blade. But their ebay site has about 20 different blades UNDER $10 each. I called them and asked them about that. Seems its a bunch of obsolete stuff that they cant get any more and have a ton of surplus. Shipping was listed at ~10 each blade, but he told me to wait on paying and he can combine shipping, since I bought 3 sets. But even at retail shipping, I will get 3 sets for the price of just one:thumbsup:
So if any of you out there are looking for blades, I'd give them a look. I just scrolled through and found one that was close to the dimensions I needed:thumbsup: Sure beats paying $40 per blade + shipping:laughing:
