Nut on shaft from gear box that holds blade assembly,is it left handed or right handed. Older model 5 ft. Bushog brand. Need nut removed to remove stump jumper to get to gear box bolts to tighten or replace. Will not move either direction with 4ft. pipe on heavy socket wrench handle. 2" nut.

Yes, they can be tight. Mine turns to the left to remove. It is a Bushog 6ft, should be the same.

Yours may be different, but mine has a castle nut with cotterkey on a tapered shaft. It was a tough job to get off!

Does your mower have a cutout hole in the deck to get at the blade nuts? If so. if you can get a wrench down on the bolt heads under the deck.. an air gun might spin the nuts tight for you.. or if they need replaced, just burn them out or cut the heads off with an angle grinder, and then install new bolts.. heads on the underside.. nuts on top.. air gun and wrench.. and go.
