Thought I would tag to this thread. I think I have a Bushhog 286 as well. I finally got the blades off... 3/4 drive impact no go, 3/4Drive 4'Cheater, No go, then smoke wrench. (heated up the Nuts then 4' cheater) success!!.... Thanks to all the suggestions on this board...I was just about ready to load it up and take it to the Dealer..
Attached is a photo of the blades...My next question is, What are the guidelines to determine when blades should be replaced? I have sharpened the blades on the bushhog twice now, that I know of,,,They could have been sharpened previously, as they were the blades on the bushhog when I got it... about 5 yrs ago.
