The last 2 days has been a cultural experience for the German lad.
We camped for 2 nights about 100 miles from home in thick mallee scrub, with no other people but plenty of kangaroos and emus. We cooked bread and beef and veg stew in the camp oven and washed it down with cask wine.
I am sure he will remember this experience for life.

What area of Australia did you say you lived ? What is the nearest large city ?

I live in South Australia, the state. It is in the middle of the country below Northern Territory. Our capital city is Adelaide, about 1-1/2 hours drive from where i live.

How are the winter months down there ?? Were you near any of those big brush fires last year ?
I knew of the Murray River for a few years,because that is where the Murray Grey cattle were developed,a Black Angus crossed with a small percentage of Shorthorn.
