Just a quick question. Anyone out there have experience with a B7500 and a 5 foot bush hog? Plan to cut mostly underbrush in a wooded area. Does this tractor have enough juice to handle this with the 5 foot 'hog?

Thanks.

My opinion would be no, the B7500 does not have enough hp to handle a 5' bush hog cutting underbrush. Maybe cutting weeds/grass, but "underbrush" implies larger bushes to me anyway. I have a B2410 and thought long and hard about which cutter to purchase. The manual says 48" is the max, but I ended up going with a 5' only because 95% of what I cut is grass, weeds, and flowers.

I agree with Kevin; you'll probably be happier with a 4' brush hog.

I have a a B7500 and 4' Bush Hog (SQ480 Squealer). It's the light duty model but serves me well as the biggest that I cut is 1". I was considering the 5' because it was actually cheaper (supply/demand) but the dealer gave me the 4' for the same price. I'm quite happy with it.

Likewise, my brush cutter is a Woods XT148 (48"). It's pretty heavy, and I "almost" need a counterweight to allow the front wheels to get enough traction. As far as running it, you can hardly tell that it loads the engine unless I'm mowing some heavy duty coyote brush, and then it's more of a "Harrrumm" from the brush cutter digesting the big brush. The engine doesn't even sound labored (or slow down).

Masch,
I have a LandPride 48" Rotary Cutter for a B7500 and I don't think it would do well with a 60". I think this is one of those square law steps not a 4:5 ratio but a 16:25 ratio.

Just picked up my new B7500 last friday I got the 48" rotory cuter and couln't be more pleased with this combo I mowed my pasture the next afternoon It worked great. Also I had a downed tree so I cut it up and piled the small stuff and mowed it also.I was concerned the 48" would not be wide enough to get close my fence lines but it was not a big deal I just went slow. I think you will be happy with the 48"
