Bush hog deck raise cylinder SA to DA

So the Axel cylinder (up and down) on my bush hog 2615L batwing has locked up and will only spit fluid out of the breather.

Do I need another single acting cylinder to replace it with? or can I use a double acting and just run another hose to tractor? DA seems to be cheaper and easier to find.

Or can a DA cylinder from tractor supply be used as a SA?

You can use a DA cylinder just take the vent out of the old one or buy a vent...........
