Just don't use a gas powered leaf blower to get it started !
Prohibited here as are gas powered brush cutters…

The one that takes the cake is the coming prohibition on gas and diesel powered generators… solar panels and batteries baby…

But can you burn weed in a barrel??
That would be a no in California, but you can burn weed without a burn barrel. Unless of course the Air Quality Management says it is a "no burn day". Then you just have to smoke it :cautious:

I would use the front loader to crush the old barrel, than take to metal scrap bin. But my burn barrel is 5 years old…still going strong. Holes drilled in bottom, and i turn it upside down in winter. Nit rusting.

My understanding here based on signage is ash from a burn barrel can be accepted, but it has to be boxed or bagged to verify it's cold...the burn barrel has to be empty.

I think at least locally, the concern is more about hot ashes catching the dumpster or landfill on fire...

I always thought old washing machine tubs made good burn barrels with all the holes in the sides.

Wow, never new burning office max printing paper and newspaper is illegal.

Need to go to plan B :ROFLMAO:

Won't ask any questions on plan B...

Do have to ask this though, exactly how does the fire marshal determine what you burn in your barrel to "certify" that you only burned the proper materials (guess something that grows naturally, but we use that for compost ;)).
Wrap some potatoes in foil, toss them in the fire to cook, and now it's a recreational fire. ;)

As for old barrels, I used mine until the bottom rotted out. Then I crush it with the tractor and put it in the trash.

Frankly I am glad that burn barrels are no longer allowed where I live. The reason being is that everybody that I know that has a burn barrel burns plastic. And I am really sick of smelling burning plastic. I know, not everybody burns plastic in their burn barrel. But everybody by me that has a burn barrel burns plastic in the barrel. So even though they are illegal they still exist and they still burn plastic.
