Bump Firing? New To Me

I guess by the number of videos on the subject it not new at all, but I've never even heard about it before

Probably no practical application due to lack of control with the way the gun has to be held, more of a novelty, but interesting, seems pretty reliable with all types of auto loaders, even pistols

Yep. I have 3 AR-15's and various other toys and ammo is just too expensive for that kind of foolishness. Yeah, I admit I've tried it before, it gets a giggle, but aiming and hitting your target one shot at a time is more satisfying!:thumbsup:

Technically, it is not full auto.
Practically, it is pretty $%@! close.

I agree, this method is ok for burning ammo and getting a laugh. I still prefer one, well placed shot. Usually from a bolt action savage.:thumbsup:

A buddy of mine has a Mac-11 fitted with a legal supresser. Load that little feller with sub-sonic ammo and you've got yourself a party.

Bump firing is a really good way to turn money into noise. There's not much real use for it other than a laugh or to scare someone off.

It can also draw the attention of the authorities who might investigate the sound of full auto firing.

The rules where I shoot say that bump firing will get you asked to leave the range.
