Well, if I posted the above correctly, it will take you to one persons solution.

I found an old truck on back side of farm and offered it for free here to anyone that wanted it. I ended up selling it for about $50 on Ebay. I wasn't interested in making any money, I just wanted rid of it.

Once the buyer came and got it, I asked what he was using it for. He said he was going to torch everyting off the frame and use ONLY the frame for a hay wagon. He said one can not find heavy steel like that for $50 so it was worth it for him to buy the junker and toss away the rest.

For my needs I'm looking at the wagon at Tractor Supply. I read in the link on another post about wagons that somebody didn't think these wagons were for anything but lawn mowers, but I must disagree.

Drop Down Sides Convert From Wagon To Flatbed 2,000 Lb. Load Capacity Hitch Can Be Used With Lawn Tractor Or ATV 48 In. x 72 In. Steel Mesh Deck Assembly Required

This wagon is all steel with a metal mesh platform and fold down sides.

I want a wagon to keep my generator, welder and air compressor on that I can transport to projects on my land.

Good luck,
Eddie

Eddie, I hope it works for you. I have the smaller 1000 lb unit. There is no way I would or could put 1000 lbs on it. Nice for using around the buildings like a wheel barrow, but not nearly ruggid enough to use behind a tractor. Looking at the picture of the 2000 lb one, I don't believe I could set a round bale on it & pull it anywhere.

I must believe their ratings are not based on useful weight hauling, but the point at which it will collapse while standing still.

Not knocking them as I enjoy and use the one I have, just want people to look at them up close & personal before making plans for one. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
