Using rebar I already had...

With rebar, you will have point contacts instead of perhaps a more continuous contact with the top of the plate. I doubt it matters but thought I would mention it just in case.

Hmmmm... Interesting point. It could create wear points on my QA Plate (although the QA Plate has seen some seriously better days, it is so warped it is not funny). I swear like 3 of those plates I got from the guy who built the bucket (Lang????) had rebar as the top catch...

A few minutes with an angle grinder can take off those high spots on the side of the bar that matters.

Nice looking pieces, now I need to go price some of those. Way better than buying from PT and paying shipping.

Now I just need to think about what new 6 attachments I need...

I ended up at the local metal supply. 5 feet of 5/8 rod for$7.

Yeah the parts look great but my welding is so bad....
