Building or renovating a Farm Pond

I'm always interested when one of you guys undertakes building a pond or lake. It's a big job that I'm sure can generate a whole range of emotions from the lows of wondering if it's going to dry up if rain doesn't come soon, to the highs of catching fish out of it or just taking some beautiful photographs (Eddie!). I know there's lots of resources available on the web about this topic but I found this on the MS State website and it looks pretty good as a primer for those who are considering building a pond.

When i started my pond project i contacted the maine fisheries department for guidance on building a trout pond. They sent a person to the site who walked me through the pond design including embankment slopes and depths.....
