Bucket Thumb Hydraulic Hose size

Ok, had my rear remotes installed, have bucket thumb. Need to know what size hose 3/8" or 1/2" to torque tube? After getting to tube, is the short hose smaller that goes into cylinder?

1/2 inch would be overkill. 3/8 would be fine. You can use the same hose size to the cylinder. 3/8 inch hose is more flexible and easier to route but you'll probably want 1/2 inch male NPT fittings on the ends so you don't end up with lots of different size quick connect fittings. The rear remotes are presumably 1/2 inch "Pioneer" style so make sure you get the right fittings to match. Also, double check what the cylinder connectors are, often they are JIC. These terms may be confusing so take a while to lay the whole thing out on paper with matched fittings before ordering the parts. Easier if you take your drawing/measurements to a local hydraulic hose supplier or tractor dealer as they can help make sense of the sometimes arcane terminology.
