Kubota B7100
The bucket on my loader will empty by itself unless I hit the joystick every 10 seconds or so. It has gradually been getting worse. It is a B7100 kubota and I bought it new in '92. Any idea how to tell what is wrong?

i just had the same thing happen to mine, when i brought it to the dealer ship they told me that a nut that holds the packing in had come loose causing fluid to bypass. I'm sure there are other causes but that was mine. here is a link to what some others told me that it might also be.
good luck.

Cylinders leaking, or valve leaking. You could switch hoses between the lift and curl and see if the problem switches.

Hey JJ, how is every thing around the Florida area? It"s fine here around the old Clinton area, except very hot and humid. zman:thumbsup:

Some machines have one curl cyl, but most tractor have two. I have one curl cyl on my Power-Trac.

I was up in Clinton about two months ago for the Thornwell reunion , and it was hot. About the same here in Jacksonville, with 95 degrees.

Until three years ago, I was working in this kind of heat all day using weed whackers, backpack blowers, etc. Retired now, and with all the drugs they have me taking, I can only tolerate the sun for a couple of hours, and then I call it a day. It's h**l to get old, but someone has to do it. What I don't like about these golden years, is that everyone is taking all my golden dollars.

could just be a split or cracked O-ring in the loader valve.

Generally, there are no o-rings in a spool valve. The sealing is done by very close tolerances between the spool and the bore in the valve body. They are are a lapped/honed fit-that is why you cannot buy a replacement spool.
