3 times last week the pin that holds the grapple to the quick attach on the loader has come off. What cn I do to keep the pin(its the circular type pin don't know the proper name) from being pulled off?

I lose those frequently, especially if I'm brush cutting.
They're cheap, so I keep a dozen or so around. If you've got a tool box on your tractor, toss 4 or so in the box.
Now, for those of you who use Pat's Easy Change...it pays to order a dozen of the bent washers too. They're not so cheap though...

As far as what goes good white crow...well, I like French Fries and a cheap wine in a brown paper bag...but only if I'm wearing my bib overalls and leave my teef out...

The cost is not the problem, it's the bent arms that the missing ring causes that's the problem. How do I keep the pin from coming off when the brush grabs it is my question ?

2 possible ideas mscheer772,

Replace the pin with a long bolt/nut/washer combo.

A ziptie or wire tie across pin and handle like in picture.

Personally, I'd do the bolt thing. Use a ny-lock nut and forget it.

This was even more of a problem when I had a Gravely. On it, I often used pins with a ring similar to the ones for key rings to affix to the hole in the end of a pin. You should be able to get these type at TSC. They're a pain to fasten and unfasten.

I even had brush remove the oil dip stick from the Gravely's engine once. Learned to turn the loop inside up against the engine block.

Have had a few of those loop ones come out, as shown above that bend back on themselves. Luckily, no damage done. Have lost 2 holding the bar in on the lower part of the 3 ph on the 4010. One loses one of those spacing collars there, too. Luckily, I bought extra of these but am out again.

Always keep a lookout unless you can get something like the key ring thing.

If you are losing the circular ones, buy the black ones instead of the gold ones. They are a more hevy duty version. I only see them at TSC and other stores, not dealers. I have never lost one, but I have snapped my finger a few times... There is no way brush or almost anything could push them off.

I'll try both the zip tie and the black pins.

As always, TBN comes thru.
