Know and study the terrain you cut...

Looking ahead with 3' high brush... it looks good... until you hit a 2' drop off into a small creek...

Brush with multiple stems/trunks from 1/2" to 1" in size...

Sometimes, with a smaller HP tractor, you have to take "bite-size" cuts with multiple passes and go slower...

Keep driving forward...

Don't back up with this debris underneath...This brush will show no mercy for your fuel lines and wiring under your tractor.

Check & clean your grille periodically...

This will prevent overheating.

{Notice the twisted/bent hydraulic lines on the loader... a small 1" maple sapling got even with me...}

Keep your bucket low...

Almost be touching the ground... this helps clear your path, protects your tractor, provides some safety for sudden terrain change, protects against boulders and hidden stumps, and catches dumped tires, wheels, baling wire, concrete items and other nasty debris before the rotary cutter gets it...
