Can someone tell what brand this is?.

Definataly a bushhog brand.

Looks similar to a model 105. But the 105's that I have seen have a square tube for the tailwheel and that one appears round.

There should be a model and serial number tag on one of the vertical support ribs, somewhere around the gearbox.

Looks homemade. Not to insinuate it's inferior; it just doesn't have the "factory" look of a heavy duty product.

Certainly not homemade. Its a typical bushhog design of a few decades ago. No, the 105 if thats what it turns out to be, was not a heavy duty cutter.

HD or not it does not have any problems with 2"sapling -thanks a lot for the info.
