I had these forks made last year to help clean up limbs in the woods. Since then I've found a myriad of uses for them. A friend made it out of 1/4" wall square tube and 1.25" rod. It's 60" wide and has 36" long forks. I've used it to haul lumber and plywood for the new shop, pick up limbs, and generally move anything too long or wide for the pallet forks.

Neat! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Have you ever thought about putting a back on it?

Yes, thanks for reminding me. I thought about the need for a back the first time I picked up a big pile of limbs and had some fall off the backside on the way to the burn pile. The only negative would be the capability of piling even more material on the forks. I recently renewed my membership in the PT Test Pilot's Club while using these forks to haul plywood, so the ability to load even more weight way out front could prove to be dangerous. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
