Hi:

I have an International 606 utility tractor (55 HP) that is 80 inches wide. I want to buy the right size mower width for the tractor. I'm looking at a Woods 6 or 7 foot rotary cutter. Also Woods sells an 80" brush cutter model MD80 but I don't know if they would work well for roadside ditches. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

I have had a Woods MD72 for over ten years now. Originally on a 45hp Kubota, now a 50hp. It's a good cutter. I'm not sure what questions you have.

It is really going to depend on the contour and depth of your ditches. On some, a cutter the same width or slightly wider works well, while on some more over hang works well. For overall utility, I find the first works pretty well for me.

Thanks alot Tripler

You are quite welcome, the cutter on my L5030 is a Land Pride RCR2672 and the cutter on our M8540 is a Woods DS1260 at 10'6". Both work well for what the are. I considered going with a RCR2684 on my 5030, but am glad I didn't.

I'm not sure if this will work for you but I uae a sickle bar mower on my road side. Works well for what I have.
