Brush cutter for 1401D

Great point about the extension and contraction issues. When I was new to this business I installed a over-running clutch on a YM1510D and did not inspect the driveshaft for proper length. It was too long. It bottomed out and snapped the PTO shaft in the trans. That was a $150 lesson. You can run an over-running and a slip, but make sure you cut the driveshaft the proper length to give adequate insertion, yet make sure it can never bottom out. Picked up a 42" Howse brush cutter today. It seems to be the perfect size for my 1401D. I had to cut the driveshaft about 3" because of the overrun clutch but other than that it fit right on. I have to wait for my chain guard kit before I can really try it out though.
