Does anyone know where i can buy a few female splined couplers for a brush cutter gearbox, the one that go n the stump jumper I have 2 of the same gear boxes one is on a cutter, but its stripped the female splines one the jumper and ilde hate the waste a good cutter. The second one i need the couplers to make something out of the gear box, It seems to be an od sized outer diameter when i mike them, I could make them but i dont have a rotatry head in my power broach. ill measure again tomorrow and count the splines. Any cataloges i could try out.

I wore out the spline in the stump jumper of my first rotary cutter (a Howse) and checked my manual for parts. The stump jumper and splined connector are one assembly, but they could be ordered at a fairly decent price as I remember. As it turns out, the light metal structure of the cutter was also damaged, so I just bought a new cutter and never bought the replacement splined adapter. I think if you will contact the manufacturer of your cutter, they can sell you the part. Maybe they will even tell you how to find just the splined adapter without the stump jumper attached. ...it's worth a try.
