Bruised Kubota

I have the same problems with my mower blades. Every nigh, after I wash them, I use quick dry spray paint before the wax.

Your Joking right? You paint and wax your mower blades.
I only wish I had enough spare time to consider that and if I did I am sure my mower blades, I have two sets for the BX, would forgive me for not indulging them.

The paint that Elmerinva recomended is right on the money I got the same thing for the grapple bucket I built and it is a perfect match.

Pokey, now that you mentioned it, I have another question. When the little rubber "hairs" wear off a new tire, is it time to replace the tires? David

Of course I'm joking. I'd get run off the ranch if I worried about a paint scratch.

I do paint my tractor projects, however. The local Tractor Supply Co. is having a clearance on Rustolium Tractor and Implement paint. Quarts were about $4.50. Allice Chalmers (sp?) orange matches very well. Shermin Williams wanted $120 per gallon for two part "safety orange" industrial paint. I',m very happy with the Rustolium and will get another quart if they (TSC) has it.

Wall mart sells Rustolum quarts in white and black. I mixed them to get the right Kubots gray color for my project canopy frame. The neighbor thought it was a factory canopy.

Tires get replaced when they can't be repaired again or when they no longer give traction.

i dont know how big the scrape is but an old used car dealer trick would be go to the kubota dealer and get a decal that would cover it . you would be suprized at how many new tractors with scrapes go out with a dealer name or a safety sticker on them...one who knows...

This sounds like my claim of a few months ago. Kubota Orange really looks like a cross of AC Persian Orange and Farmall Red.

Out here, when the main Rubicon Jamboree is run on the famous Jeep trail, you can get large, like 12"x4" "bandaids to put on owee's like that /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif They tend to bounce sheet metal on the rocks on trails like that.

I've been bugging our fantastic web master here for TBN coffe cups and the likes, like ytmag.com has. Maybe, if he ever does something like that, he could offer large bandaids, colored for our various brands of tractors /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I think that you will find that "Implement Enamel" is an alkyld (sp?) enamel. This stuff will look OK for a while but will fade quickly if left outside in direct sunlight. A better choice, but more expensive, is an acrylic enamel. This is the stuff many manufacturers used to paint cars before the two part urethane paints became popular. Acrylic enamel will hold its color and shine much better that an alkyld enamel. Also, Kubota orange looks exactly like the color Case used on its tractors back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. They called it “Flambeau Red”.
