Brought home a 68 4500

It has the 201 3 cyl diesel. 8 spd trans. Has a Massey model 34 loader.

I like it so far, have had it a couple weeks. I replaced all the injector return hoses that were leaking and changed the eng oil and filter. Also made a new battery tray out of 3/16 plate and installed a new muffler.

Mods will be making a toothbar and grapple for the bucket, roll over bar and full hydr steering conversion.

what is the production code on it?

I thought the 4500's were yellow and the 4000's were blue???

It has remnants of yellow paint under the blue and has the boxed front axle that I always see on 4500s and not the raised up 4000 ag front axle.

I will ck the codes stamped on the trans.
