Broke a valve stem on the front tire of my DK40. It looks like it has a nut at the base of the stem but not sure if it screws apart or you cut it from the back side of the rim. I tried a standard racket but it spins on the inside. Didn't want to drag a compressor and impact wrench out to where I left it if it doesn't really screw off.

Thanks

Never mind. I put a pair of vice grips on the backside and got it out. Not to find a replacement on a Labor Day...ugh.

A regular valve stem will work if you just need the tractor. Walmart or tractor supply should have these. Otherwise you will probably need to visit a tire shop for a bolt in. The bolt in ones are a little tougher and should be all brass with the rubber sealing washer.

I have Kubota, New Holland and JD all within 10 minutes so I'm hoping one of them might have some.
