84 Ford 1710, has six bolts that mount the motor, per side. While replacing the o-rings on the hyd pump to priority valve, I discover that four of the six bolts on the right side are sheared off, I made the mistake thinking I could use an easy out, mistake as it broke off. Now thinking I can remove the frame rail to expose the block and the sheared bolts. My hope is to weld a nut to the remaining bolts to remove. I will soak and have been spraying penetrating fluid daily for three days now.
My question is if anyone here has removed the frame rail and if so, how they went about it?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

The entire front frame is a single welded assembly. Start by taking the hood off, then the battery, radiator and whatever else you need to make the frame manageable for you to handle. If it is 4wd remove the axle trunnions from the frame, you will have less hassle at reassembly.

Rick B,
Thanks for the insight on this. I got a few minutes today and removed the hood, started to remove the FEL and decided I would just raise it instead. I took a quick look around and did see the trunnion(?) on the front diff. So If I remove all the items, I should be able to jack up (support) the motor, the frame should slide out the front? Does that sound correct?
Also, I had a friend make me some fitting to help cure the notorious leak at the pump / priority valve with a hyd hose to connect the two. Do you have any insight on this? It appears I need to lower the priority valve mount and bend / re-route the two lines attaching to the priority valve. That sound about right?
Thanks for the help and reply!

The fix for the leak included moving the valve and replacing the jumper tube with adapter fittings and a hose. The kit to do so is long since obsolete, so you seem to be on the right track.
