Last weekend while box scraping I heard a pop, turned around and my box scraper disconnected.... After 500 uneventful hours I managed to break a lower lift arm while turning a corner with a fully loaded box, with the rippers fully engaged. $200 for a new lift arm and 30 minutes of labor I was good to go.

My dealer said he's never seen a Kubota do that before. Anyone out there with a similar situation? I have 100 hours easy on the 72" box scraper and have never had an issue. In fact other than a $20 air sensor this is my first real expense other than fuel and preventative maint.

I'm sure I could have welded this up, but I shudder to think what would have happened if the lift arm wasn't the weak link, case damage????

Haven't had any problems like that directly, but when I bought a 72" tiller, the dealer said they had seen people damage the 3pt linkages by making sharp turns with the tiller in the ground. Probably a similar situation... those 3pt arms are only designed for so much strain.
