Broken Cylinder

/ Broken Cylinder #11
Mine broke in the same place, def out of warranty, and thankfully only 800$ to fix. I was misusing it however, I had the rams extended and pushed. Bad me.

What he said^^^^, and others before. Sometimes help looks like people bringing one to what reality looks like. :confused3:

I would have thought that the cylinders would have broken like the OP's if your rams were extended and then pushed. Rams extended and then back dragging would tend to buckle the rods as yours are showing. (or maybe I'm missing something?)

They bent when back dragging (you can see the touch down on the loader frame) but they broke when pushing. On a stump. Don’t push on stumps...

Or else they broke when pushing forward on something with the grapple lid.

Nope, I was pushing with the lower tines in a small stump, remember completely how I thought I pinched a hydraulic line, so when I raised the lift cylinder and saw I had one curl cylinder spewing hydraulic fluid, I knew I did something tragic. I also rarely push with the grapple lid, since I’ve ripped the grapple nose (where the cylinder connects) off a few times as well.
