Hi
I own a Case DX26 since 5 years. We use it to mow the yard and for our snow removal with a 64'' rear snowblower.
This week we get a lot of snow, while I'm blowing snow, I go forward to make another pass and I hit a concrete post with the bucket corner.
I check fluids and fuel the tractor. While I'm there, I check the loader to be sure everything is ok. Wrong
The clutch case is broke.
One airline crack over the loader arms mounting point and another larger under the case in the middle of a stud's thread hole.
It a low hours machine (650) and I'm handy enough to tackle the split.
Should I remove the clutch case to have it weld professionally or I should change it.
Messick's site said it a bunch of cash (1700 usd)
Any ideas?
For now, I remove the loader in order to stop the damages. I can continue to use the snowblower.
Is this is a common failure? Never use a backhoe on these tractor.
