He fellas......i have a problem..... the 1st/reverse shift fork snapped off in my transmission. i was pushing snow and it just stopped, glad i towed it into the garage and didn't drive it. when i took off the transmission cover i found the broken fork up against some gears, i can just imagine what damage would have been done to the transmission had i put it into 2nd or 3rd gear....whew!
so hears my question.....do i have to split the tractor in order to replace the fork ?.....or is there a different way to install i new fork that i'm not seeing?...i see there are set screws to hold the rods in place, that the forks are attached to.....so is there a different way to get the job done, no other issues with oil leaks or bad gaskets. i have a 2004 jinma 354 4x4.

thanks in advance for any help!!!

Glad i posed the question! So according to the diagrahm there are spring loaded set screws that hold the rods in place at the back of the transmission, does the screw have to be removed before i can turn the shifting rod?

Thanks for making my day, i was getting my jack stands and bottle jack in place to start the splitting!!!
