Kubota M8540
I have a M8540 was going to back drag my driveway, put the bucket down to drag, went to move the shifter to reverse and my foot slipped off the clutch and went forward and sunk the bucket, the tractor kept running but stopped , i pushed in the clutch and went into reverse, tractor ran fine, but when I go into forward it wont go up even a small hill, hydraulic fluid is fine, lifts work and it runs in reverse fine and no noise

Try going up the hill in your lowest gear. It sounds like your clutch is slipping. Start by checking the adjustment. If adjusting won't solve the problem you may be looking at splitting the tractor for a new clutch.

Welcome to TBN
One needs more info to correctly solve your tractors problem. Does your M8540 have hyd or sync shuttle?
If hyd shuttle check hyd pressure in fwd. Hyd shuttle clutch pedal linkage controls a hyd valve instead of a clutch disk.
If sync shuttle check clutch pedal free travel

"Runs fine in reverse" so why would clutch be be the cause ??? Maybe the bucket is still stuck in the ground, eh ???

Sounds more like a broken transmission primary shaft or gear. Which transmission (there are 3).

Primary trans shaft is utilized for both fwd & rev same as a traction clutch. If tractor has hyd shuttle my guess is fwd clutches are toast.

thanks for all the input, it was the linkage from the shuttle arm to the cable control, I adjusted it till I had forward control like normal, I will be ordering a new linkage to replace the bent one, thanks again.

Yes - welcome to TBN and the forum HENDU. I had a similar problem with my M6040. Pushing snow with the bucket. Ice on the clutch pedal - foot slipped - tractor lurched forward. No harm/no foul. I just pushed a patch of snow forward.

A suggestion - get the tractor moving BEFORE you lower the bucket.
