Working on burning up a huge pile of debris today I lost steering. Looks like an easy fix but the pin threads are wasted. Cotter pin and slotted washer gone in dirt somewhere. The first trick was to come up with a makeshift nut... to get my steering back so I could limp 'er up my hill and get to the garage for repair. A vise grip surprisingly did the job! I needed to replace the boots anyways as they were already ripped up.
