I thought about that before, but dont like the idea.
On my arms, like most, there is a ball socket on the tractor end. With the design of the kubota links, where they hook to the arm with that horseshoe piece, it keeps the arm vertical. Without that, the arm can rotate maybe 20 degrees each way. A chain wouldnt prevent that.
Not to mention, a few pieces of heavy chain, a way to male ends for them, and the time to fab would likely cost more money and take more time than just salvaging a $20 toplink, that already has the right ends, and using a few pieces of steel to make the bottom.
