Broke my side-link.....AGAIN

I thought about that before, but dont like the idea.

On my arms, like most, there is a ball socket on the tractor end. With the design of the kubota links, where they hook to the arm with that horseshoe piece, it keeps the arm vertical. Without that, the arm can rotate maybe 20 degrees each way. A chain wouldnt prevent that.

Not to mention, a few pieces of heavy chain, a way to male ends for them, and the time to fab would likely cost more money and take more time than just salvaging a $20 toplink, that already has the right ends, and using a few pieces of steel to make the bottom.

No, but the check links will keep the lower arms from swinging from side to side.
And even if the lower arms rotate slightly, so what? It doesn't change the amount
of force the arm can transfer, either pushing or pulling. The only thing the chain can't
do is push down, it's really hard to push a chain.:D
