Went to lift up the mower deck and heard a loud bang. I don't know if this was caused by a bad weld job or a missing bolt/pin seen in image 1....not sure if a pin or bolt should be there looks like a pin as i see no threads.

Wish i new how to weld. Someone should be able to weld that right?

Looks like a fatigue failure. Notice the shell like appearance on the fracture. Definitely take it to a weld shop for repair. Easy peasey fix

As they say "Not much meat there to weld to" but good welder can fix your problem.

Yeah that deck takes a lot of abuse over the years.

Does anyone know what that silver thing is for in pic 1? It looks like it should be bolted to the frame but it's strange since the right side does not have one.
