BROKE MY 2520

I was landscaping, doing some heavier fel work, when there was a loud bang (like a 22 shot) and then a cloud of red arose from underneath and alongside my 2520. I pulled the tractor to a level spot, and got off to see red hydraulic fluid pouring from underneath the tractor, with residue dripping from the fenders and right rear tire. Upon inspection, I found that where the plumbing for the fel scv meets the transmission housing something burst. Can't tell if a hard line has burst or just a gasket on the banjo fitting, but everytime you move the scv it pumps hydraulic fluid overboard but quick. Dealer has told me that this is not an uncommon failure, so I'm thinking that it might be smart to have a few extra gaskets on hand. Mean-while the dealer has come and collected her to make repairs. My thought is that maybe it could be prevented, and by passing along the findings save someone else the inconvienence.

Sorry you had a problem Gunmaker. by all means keep us informed.
so maybe we could prevent this from happening in the future.
or what we need to look for....
