broke Hyd nipple, what part nr?

I broke one of the four nipples that screws into the auxilliary hydraulic joy stick manifold (under the HST pedal). It's for a hose to the front bucket. I'm looking now, but does anyone know the part# for this? A 3/4" wrench took it off...

Working in the brush were we? Come on, we have to get the story. I have managed to push the entire FEL hydraulic control unit up towards the floor board, managed to bend the high pressure metal line that runs under that valve cluster, and also knocked the fittings loose at the place where yours broke all from brush poking up at the wrong time.

Luckily never broke one though. RedRocker's skid plate has a special wing just to prevent this sort of thing.

That's actually a common fluid coupling part. Go to any tractor supply store, dealer, or a good hardware store (you know, the one with squeaky wooden floors) and pick up one. If you get desperate, you can use a brass one. Oh ny God, the reaction that statement with generate. It could kill you, the hydraulic oil (they will spell it "hydrolic") will get contaminated, the threads ("treads") with get stripped, the flow rate will droop, and the tractor will look funny with a brass part in it. Yeah, so what?? You're runnin' ain't ya?

Go ahead, order the $200 part from Japan. Our balance of payments is falling behind....

One more thang, If you was really a tractor man, you'd go out and buy that $2500 Miller Syncrowave TIG and put it all back together, you know, OE.

ROTFLMAO, you got it. In the brush, got poked, and a geyser blew out the front. I can think of better ways to oil a trail. Will use brass no problemo to get back to work and replace it later (right).

Thanks Monsieur Wallace for the steel part #. I'm in the woods, will drive 25mi to hardware store in a few hours and look -- it's possible that my little town won't have that nipplewhatchamacallit in steel...

HAA the TIG would be realreal nice, but first a plasma cutter. And before that a grapple. And before that a .... you know how it goes :~)

While I'm DAP, a temp skid plate goes under that manifold. This winter i'll fab the real deal courtesy of RedRocker's photos.

To make a short story... as the trail was developing I figured that I'd better throw off the logs/sticks we kept back-and-forthing over before one of them flipped up and bit me. As I was stopping to do it, POP goes the geyser. My usual timing. Oh yeah, bent that new bigass tie rod too.

The last two days I went to 5 hardware stores, 2 heavy equipment rental outfits and the best building supply place around here and only found a brass fitting. I'm up and running again, that's the important thing, but need to find an online supplier and I will order a stock of steel adapters. Cuz this CK30 is a 'keeper' and I can see it won't be the last time some parts get broke by logs, roots, whatever. Just SOP.

I've checked 5 online parts places rec'd by members here and Googled for the part# and no listings. One catalog i did find was a list for a partsupply counterman that i couldn't really understand if i'm getting the right part or not, no pictures (i'm spoiled), so who has a good online catalog for this stuff?

Or do I have to call my dealer 500miles away, or the closest dealer 90 miles away, and ask? Wallace i checked your site and don't see a catalog for these parts, am i blind?

I've mail ordered parts from some of the dealers met here at TBN and they arrived at my door in very short time. I wouldn't hesitate to do that before driving 90 miles. I think wallace was the first one to give you that part number, I would reward him with the order.

I have also found that by ordering an extra replacement part you are almost guaranteed to extend the time until the next breakage. I buy the hydro filter in pairs since it is so very easy to smash or break off. Between the hydro filter and the tie rod, I check the belly of the machine pretty often.

Oh and also keep an eye on those inboard steering ram grease zercs. They hang down there too.

We.finished plowing dirt and hardpan that put a strain on the FEL and this brass hyd adapter, it seeps but no leeks Haa... i luv 'dis CK30.

I'll check those grease zerks at first light because i was back&forthing over stumps 'n logs. I'll order a few extra zerks too when I find the right size/thread....i know it's been posted somewhere but that post was bouncing between many sizes of zerks and i never could decide which are the right zerks.

Not enough coffee i guess...
