unfortunately the EU versions i don't think share the same system, i did try to run your number but it doesn't give me any info about it.

Asteral it's nice of you to look these serial numbers up.
I find it rather interesting that Branson doesn't have a serial number to year listing.
Instead you have to look up when it was sold and the warranty paperwork was turned in.
These can are are quite different at times, I know that my 8050 sat at the dealers for almost a year before I bought it, which was over the calendar year.
