I have an early 2008 4720i model. Awesome tractor in all aspects. It's strong, powerful and heavy. I'd highly recommend Branson to anyone. In reference to the "i" model. I still have a PTO lever under my seat on the lower left hand side to engage my PTO function. I also have a two-way switch on my dashboard to switch between Live PTO and "i" Independent PTO. When switched to Live PTO function it performs just like a traditional two stage clutch tractor, disengaging when you clutch to stop. With my switch to "i" (independent) mode my PTO shaft runs continuously, regardless of my clutching activity. I like this feature when I'm in close quarters while bush hogging or using my finishing mower. While turning, stopping or cornering at slow speeds the PTO keeps turning and cutting. However, you have to be careful about hitting objects, because ones first response is to PUSH THE CLUTCH IN....in the "i" mode the PTO just keeps spinning....not good for the old gear box, as you can imagine. There is a clutch pack of disc that electrically lockup solid to drive your PTO shaft continuously in "i" mode. My tractor is a single dry clutch version. With the new panel switch I can run in Live PTO mode, or continuous "i" mode. I like this option.
