Branson Hydraulic filters work great on Yanmars

We have been using Branson 3510i hydraulic filters on the FX s for 4 years now and they work great.

I was in a pinch one day so I looked at the Branson filter inside and said why not, lets try it.... Since look identical inside.

Most Branson's Use the same Hyd filter.

They work great ! Even in the cold weather.

Hi Ernie, Does it fit the FX 42d also? Have you had any luck finding a cross ref for the FX42d air filter? Thanks Terry

When I started messing with these, I went to my local NAPA and they gave me a last years WIX catalog. It has a section in the back with filter measurements. I went line by line and matched most of the ones I use.

I just replaced the hydraulic filter on my new Kubota at the 50 hour mark. I bought a Donaldson filter because all the specs were the same and it was cheaper and had good ratings on some sites I looked at. But when I took off the Kubota filter, I saw it had a ring magnet in it to catch the metal filings and the ring magnet would not fit in the Donaldson filter. Since there were a fair amount of filings on the magnet, I figured that it was a good thing to have and went and bought a Kubota filter to put on it. I had already unwrapped my Donaldson filter and oiled the gasket so I could not return it.

So, in some cases there may be more to replacing filters than just size and specs.
