Has anyone installed a block heater in a Branson 7845C . It has the D3400T10-UTC-3 turbo diesel engine. From the info I gathered the Branson part # BH-K was listed for $138.00. A guy I talked to was nice enough to measure one for me ... it was 1" 400w and look like npt threads.. so a quick search, I found Kat's 11407 400 Watt 1" NPT Engine Heater for $32.00. Now to my Question: Does anyone know where the plug is located on the engine?

I have an 8050 which is the same engine,
if you look at your oil filter, you may have the same oil cooler/heater that I have;
just ahead of the oil filter is a pipe plug with a recessed square head, that's the one to pull out for the heater.
When I installed mine the fitting for the oil cooler was in the way, I pulled it out and added a nipple and a coupler
to it so the heater hex would clear.
Watch out for the length of the heater element it gets close to the cylinders.
Also with mine the manifold heater controller is looking at water temp for the time to run it,
with the water warm the manifold heater doesn't run and on a sub zero day I have had it fire and die from the cold air
with no heat.

Thanks .... I'll go out and take look to see if i can find that plug. Is it located within this pic? Should I say is yours located within this area. This is on the right side just in front of the cab. Thats the oil filter in photo.

I'm getting conflicting versions ... one dealer says : Sorry to inform you but the 7845 do not use the BH-1 that screws into block, they use an inline heater that goes in the bottom radiator hose. While another says that they do have that type.
If at all possible i rather have a block heater vs an inline.

I will get some photos of mine in the morning,
when I purchased my tractor the dealer told me that it took a lower radiator hose heater
and that was what he installed that did not work well and I got some more info from another poster on
here and installed mine in the block.
As I recall it was hard to see the plug until I looked real close.

Morning haboo1968;
I got some pics this morning,
hope they help;

this first pic is about like yours, looking closely you can see the orange cord from the block heater

block heater 2.jpg
a close up of the area of interest, the plug is directly below the oil cooler tap behind the other hose

block heater 3.jpg
and here I'm pulling down on the other hose

Hope these help you.
Good Luck

A picture is worth a thousand words, thanks again for taking the time to take the pics. Unfortunately that port is being used on mine. I marked the hose in this pic. It goes into the front right hand corner of the cab, up into the cab. If i had to guess, I would say it goes to the cab heater. Looks like I might have to go with the inline. Heck it might be easier just to build a heated shed...lol

The 7845 & 8050 are not the same engine. Different designs.
unfortunately there is not a port on the 7845 engine to fit a screw in block heater. I know we've installed the lower radiator hose heater and we've installed an extra one on the heater hoses going up to the cab (tank heater) seems to make a big difference but now you have two electrical plugs. Fortunately the 7845 start really well providing you have good battery power.
