my fuel tank leaking a the base of the fill neck dose anyone know what type of plastic it made out of. i want to weld it

Not sure what that material is, but if you can't weld it, or need it before you weld it, there is an old product that will work on gas or diesel. SEAL ALL is the name. We have even used it to stop a leaking metal tank, while it was leaking! It sets up quite fast and we have even used it on rusted thru tanks with gas leaking from them. It is possible to keep adding thin coats until it stops leaking. Even in constant use it has lasted for nearly a year before it needed recoating. Good luck.

Thank you I look on internet and found that most fuel tank is made from PP plastic and my tank seams like it welding ok, but if don't work I will try the SEAL ALL.
