Branson 2505H - PTO issue

Looking for some insight.... removed the BH last week and attached my mower. No PTO. Found a blown fuse. Traced wire and repaired a broken wire underneath. Checked everything, new PTO switch, cleaned PTO solenoid. New fuse and we are back in business. Mowed for about 20 minutes, lost PTO. Blown fuse. Unhooked new switch, replaced fuse, and as soon as you turn on key, it blows fuse. Everything else works fine. Shut down for the day and doing more recon until I can look into it more next week. Wish it was all mechanical lol.

Looks like there is a wire rubbing somewhere it shouldn't. You may have to dig further and trace those PTO wires a bit more closely.

Yes, that's my plan. I found the service manual. Hopefully the schematic will be helpful to find the issue

If the wires are in the open on the bottom of your
tractor you might think about enclosing them in
something like conduit or old piece rubber hose??
Or reroute them??
