Bradco forks or Tomahawk forks?

I actually have both, Bradco at work and tomahawk for personal use. The Bradco are hands down the better forks, better design details and more heavy-duty built. But are they worth the extra? I guess it depends on how you plan on using them, the Tomahawk forks are a great set of forks just lighter duty. My Tomahawks were $550 the Bradco were about $1500. For what I need around the house an extra $1000 was way unnecessary. That said I really like my tomahawk forks and grapple, they are quality built.

I opted to go with the Bradco forks. I didnt want to have any regrets down the road. These forks are rated for 3300lb. Thanks for the info guys.

One of the first things I did after I got my CID forks was cut off the skid steer steps on each side and squirt some good black paint on the wounds.... Forks are one of the best things since sliced bread....

Tomahawk is made by the same company as Versatech... basically the same attachments.

I think there is a good chance they are the absolute best value for the money. I REALLY like my Versatech rock bucket and I am considering their grapple.

That said, they are relatively light attachments that probably won't hold up to serious skid loader use. I find myself using my forks for prying up concrete slabs and all kinds of stuff, so I went for a heavy duty Case set and I've been pleased. Being that you want to use it on a skid, I would recommend the Bradco or another set of higher-end forks. I believe mine were in the $700ish range.

I have one of their grapples, and I fully agree.

On the forks, you either have a skidloader set that you can use on a tractor, or a tractor set you can use on a skidloader. The lift capacities (and therefore attachment strength/weight) are just so much different.

I have a used (pretty beat up) set of Bobcat brand forks. The visibility is horrible. I wish I had ended up with the Tomahawk ones instead. When I'm done with the torch/welder, the visibility (and weight a little bit) will be better.
