Boxblade on a 2520

I'm looking to add a Woods BB to my 2520 it looks like 5 feet would be the max, is 5 feet pushing it?

Nope , it works great. I have a BB2060 5foot box blade. and it pulls rippers through hard packed clay without to much effort. so you will be fine...
and will cover your tires. I would not go bigger than 5 foot

I concur with Chris. If you are on pretty flat ground (less than 8-10%) max gradient, you can pull a 60" box blade without difficulty. If your property has steeper gradients than this of any real length, you will not be able to do this well, unless you wish to pull downhill mostly, or your material is not heavy. If you use your box blade is I do mine, mainly manicuring and leveling a LONG gravel drive, uphill work would be an uphill challenge unless the gradients are less than mentioned. If they are, the 2520 would do a fine job with the 5 footer.

I been very happy with it. Frontier stuff is expensive. but worth it.
you look at the quality and weight opposed to other brands. there built very well. I think i gave a little over 7 hundred . but it was a package deal when i bought the tractor. I think a BB2060 is about 899$. but its IMatch compatible. you would really like it. ..

Here is my BB2060. not a good picture. the garage was dark
see how it covers the tires. i would not want smaller. for a 2520.
and it has some weight to it . so you can do some loader work...

I gave $675 for mine, but that was with a tractor purchase. If you do not have nor desire I match, you might be able to get a Woods BB for less. They make them in JD green, and they are exactly the same, as my 2060 was made by Woods Equipment. A box blade is one place where saving a couple hundred though really does not help, as there generally is a big difference in quality and durability between a $400 blade and an $800 one.

Definitely go with a 5' BB. I have that size for my 2320 and it seems a perfect fit. For a 2520 it should be even less of an issue.

I am currently crafting an additional weight for the BB so I can push the tines deeper for working in hard packed clay.
