Box Scraper Problem

The knob to which you refer is only for the drop speed, not raising.
If you had the backhoe on before, if you're using remotes, make sure the remote a/b switch is in the proper postion. Maybe it's halfway engaged.

If you don't have the rear remote and are using the power beyond, make sure you get in that awful position that it takes to turn that lever to the right position if you had been using the backhoe and then switched to the boxblade.

No problem. I think more people think it's for both than know it's only for drop. It simply restricts the return of the flow to the reservoir keeping the hitch from dropping at all, or too quickly if desired.

It's so helpful because without it, one would have to slowly move the lever if a slow descension were desired. That could take up a lot of time. Also turning the know off completely can keep a dropping hitch in place instead of having a drift.

Dirtcutter,
I know that I sound like a broken record, but most hydraulic problems like this are normally connector problems. Check all of your quick connectors. They may look connected and not be. Disconnect them and then reconnect. That normally solves the problem.

Is your problem limited to raising the BB? What about other implements on the 3PT? Do they lift appropriately?

What are you using to get hydro fluid to your BH? The hose kit with the valve you have to turn from under the tractor or do you have the actual remote valve that has a lever by the 3pt lever? Kioti John hit this point but I wanted to stress it again. If the valve under the tractor isn't fully turned/seated in the proper direction, for the 3pt it's counterclockwise, you won't get full power back to the 3pt. It takes a good two full turns until it stops. This was another live and learn for me and my CK30hst.

I hope that's all it is. There isn't a QD going to the 3pt. It's all internal and nothing else to turn or adjust. You want to make sure the hydro oil is at least up to the lower mark on the dipstick.

Problem solved, with the help of kiotijohn. The shaft I was looking to control the fuild to the 3pt. is located just rear and above the hydraulic filter it looks like a small drain plug. Its in the middle of the valve that has two hoses contected to it, these hoses are used for the backhoe. I used a # 11 wrench, to turn the valve clockwise and got nothing, then turned it counterclockwise that worked. I now have normal lift on the box blade. When I reattach the BH I have to re-adjust the valve. I hope this helps but if you need help let me know . If you have a remote switch this does the fuild adjustment for you.
