Do the rear arms for the center hitch post come back to the sides (like most I've seen) or to the center like in the picture you uploaded? If they go back to the sides, could you bolt a 2" receiver tube (maybe using some flanges welded to the tube) to the top center of the box blade? You'd have to build a standoff to attach it to the front scarifier bar for rigidity. Then you could use a ball, pintle, fabricate a chain hook or any other manner of tugging gear you can think of?

Nice thing about having it up top, as jd3720 recommended, is that you can see it while you're backing, and could lift the ball via 3pt right into the tongue on the trailer.

I'm a little OCD, this is what i'm talking about. (TSC/Northern Tool/etc carry bare receiver tubes)

The connection to the back plate would take most of the thrust loads, while the connection to the scarifier bar would keep it from pivoting on the back plate with vertical loads. You could add some gussets to improve the overall strength if you expect anything heavy.

Radar... I got the pintle hitch like the harbor freight one you showed. The one I got was from Tractor Supply. Bolted it right to the back of the box (quick and easy). Use it for the same reason... moving around the little utility trailer (our new garden cart) when the box blade is on (which is quite often).
