I have a 2520 and have been considering a box blade. Woods or Frontier. Which one is the best? Woods is a little cheaper but is Frontier the better choice.

Woods makes Frontier boxblades. Heres pics of one I use to own. They bring a tube mounted on them like some bush hogs.Open tube on a Frontier and youll see Woods instruction manuel.(Go to dealer)
BTW Woods makes different models/specs.depending on need, tractor, construction, etc. They paint them pretty JD's green to match.

Might be worth your time to check out the Monroe TufLine series of BB's. They are at Landscape TB Series Box Scrapers - Monroe Tufline. Mine is a TB-066 model (5-1/2 ft) and is 28 years old now, and still going strong. Stout, heavy, and extremely well built. When I sold my old Kubota and bought a new JD recently I kept the TufLine BB, it will likely outlast another half dozen tractors. :) Don't have any idea what one of these costs now, but whatever it is, it's a lot more than this one cost in 1982.

Photos of the box blade were taken last winter after I painted it and put fresh decals on it. After 28 years of hard work I figured the old girl deserved it.

When I was looking around last year I almost purchased the Woods but when I compared it with a CountyLine model at TSC, I concluded that I did not need a HD box blade like the Woods. It seems like Woods and Frontier are more meant to be pulled by 3x20 and up compact as the are made like a tank. I have a 855 which is similar in size to the 2520 and this is my opinion. I always thought that bigger was better but the woods just looks overkill on a smaller tractor. Unless you are going to do a lot of very hard work with it for a very long time I do not think it is worth it.

Bought a 5" King Kutter off Craigslist for $215 and feel that I stole it. Maybe look at used?

Good point, Dirtysailor. Box blades don't have much to break in the way of moving parts, and any problem (cracked welds, bends, etc.) with a used one will be instantly apparent to the naked eye upon inspection.

I can get the woods gb60 for $525. Its cheaper than the Country Line at $ 569. I can't find anything used locally.

Yep, they are. I think they might have been re-hardfaced once, though, by the previous owner. The hardfacing looks too perfect to have been used much. Either that or the previous owner just never used the teeth. I rarely use them myself, its life is spent at my place mostly maintaining 1/4 mile of gravel lane, half of which slopes downhill and suffers a lot during very heavy rains. It's also ballast for the loader on the new tractor. It paid for itself many, many times over behind that L295DT. I don't know how popular the Tufline stuff is across the country, but they make some danged tough implements.
