Box blade or scraper for GC1710

The front end loader with piranha bar is pretty useful, but I think fro some of the things I want to do I need a 3 pt box blade or scraper. Looking for feedback on
any that you have used on your GC tractors. I was think a 4 ft one would work best for this small tractor. Something like the ones below. I'm not quite sure on
the delta between cat 0 and cat 1?

This might help with your category "0" or category "1" dilema (which does not even mention Cat 0)



I chose to add Cat 1 Quick Hitch (QH) as most implements I am interested in seemed to be Cat 1..

MY though concepts is no matter what brand/type implement, if it does not fit the QH, I will modify it at time of taking possessions and after that it will be "perfectly" (?) useable....

The BE seems to have bypassed the upper hook clearance problem most people encounter using the two bolt through style so popular with the "discount" (chinese) pricing and then have to buy adapters or do extensive modifications to get upper hook to work...

Get Cat 1 implements made for a subcompact tractor. A Cat 1 quick hitch can be used with them just like regular implements. They have regular Cat 1 dimensions, but lower to the ground, maybe 12 inches at lower pins. Regular Cat 1 lower pins are about 18 inches high when the implement is level. You use over half your lift just to reach the pins.

Yes.... My 1715 pin height at lowest point is about 7 inches off ground, with about 24 inches of lift (or was it 24 inches off ground at top of lift)...... As noted in previous post, I plan to mod any implement to fit my needs...

That looks like standard height. On the BX, my regular Cat 1 blade will only lift about 6-8 inches if the main beam is level, as is needed when angle grading.

It was rated for no more than 25hp.....so thought it would be appropriately sized. It will have to do as my local choices are limited.....there my be some mods in it's future. I'm mainly going to be scraping off top soil with it.

If you have a Rural King store near you in SC., here are two 5 foot blade choices:

King Kutter .... TRB 60-Y .... $296.99

King Kutter .....RB-G-60 ..... $ 360.97

In my opinion, KK products are generally better built than comparable items sold at TSC.

The King Kutter "XB" series is specially designed for sub compact tractors.

Other than they are painted that ugly orange color, all those implements will work perfectly on a GC.
