This is about 300 ears of Silver King sweet corn from one of my patches. I thought the deer and coons were going to eat it all but they left the ole farmer some.

The wife and I had sweet corn tonight. It was some of the best I ever had, in fact the wife commented it was like eating supper and desert at the same time! :)

I agree with your wife.
It's been awful dry here in central Pa. but the patch I took ears from today had rain when it needed it.
Do you remember what brand of sweet corn you had for supper?

havnt seen a single coon.... The neighbor has killed 3 or 4 that got some of his chickens though.....

we were harvesting corn this past weekend.... really good stuff.... picked it, shucked it, and ate it all within about a 15 min time frame.

dont get no more fresher than that!

In the past three days I've picked over 1,000 ears and most of it has been nice. When the customers ask me what type I will tell them Silver King. Most will say, "We really love Silver Queen". I can't tell much difference between the two but the people who sell me the seeds claim the King is a bit hardier and it has done well in near drought conditions.
