It came down to very small differences in the product - the Brown even has the hinged door over the blade pins. The bigger difference was in dealer attitude. I bought the Brown 472 over the Bush Hog 286 mostly because the dealer was more helpful and interested in my business. (wen: freight to the NE seems to run up the BH price a bit) The Brown was delivered and I used it last night - sure is massive. Gotta resist the temptation to do earth shaping with it. All that rotating mass makes me appreciate the hydraulic shuttle on my 4150.
Weather in Western Mass today is 72, dry blue sky, light breeze. If there were 300 days like this a year, my real estate would be worth more. (goes downhill in Jan)
